Dedicated workload

Bare metal game server rental

Choose a physical host for the game servers you maintain. Match the exact game, extensions and player geography to the hardware instead of buying a promised number of slots.

Hardware priorities

  • single-core speed — verify it against the application, dataset and recovery objective.
  • latency — verify it against the application, dataset and recovery objective.
  • DDoS protection — verify it against the application, dataset and recovery objective.

Selection rule

Start with single-core speed, latency, DDoS protection. Leave headroom for recovery work, then compare the fixed monthly price with the same workload's metered alternatives.

Deployment path

  1. Select a configuration and US region.
  2. Choose Ubuntu or attach a custom ISO.
  3. Add an SSH key and fund the USD ledger with crypto.
  4. Confirm the installation window and wait for completed delivery before moving production traffic.

Before you choose

Choose hardware for the job you need.

3 min guide

Describe the game you will actually run

List the game and server version, maps, mods, plugins, save size and intended simultaneous instances. Record peak memory and the behavior of the busiest process on an existing host when available. A lightly modified private world is not a reliable sizing reference for a heavily customized public service.

Decide whether the purchase is for one demanding instance or several separate communities. More cores are an allocation choice, not a guaranteed improvement to a particular game's update loop. Define acceptable behavior using your own scenario and test it before announcing a migration date.

Shortlist Ryzen by the resources you need

These models share a 1 Gbps listed port. Their different compute, memory and disk allocations are reasons to compare them, not a published game-performance ranking.

  • Ryzen 7 5800X: 8 cores, 64 GB RAM and 2 TB raw NVMe. Start here when measured requirements fit the smaller allocation.
  • Ryzen 9 5950X: 16 cores, 128 GB RAM and 4 TB raw NVMe. Compare it when several instances or larger saves need more room.
  • Ryzen 9 7950X: the catalogue's DDR5 Ryzen option. Check its current price and test your workload before paying for the platform change.

Check the path to players and the protection scope

Choose among the listed US regions using where players connect from and relevant measurements. A region name does not establish their latency, and an unmetered port does not guarantee an end-to-end rate. Confirm availability before moving a community to a particular location.

Baseline DDoS protection is listed; advanced protection needs a separate quote. Supply the actual game, transport protocols and exposed ports when discussing requirements. Do not assume that a baseline service includes game-specific filtering or that requesting a protection mode proves it is active.

Budget for operating the community

The rental does not include a managed game panel, mod installation, game licences or save-file backups. Confirm operating-system compatibility and arrange your own software rights. Keep recovery credentials and copies of worlds, configuration and player data outside the rented host.

Allow room for updates, logs and additional saves rather than allocating every byte to the initial world. Test the new environment with a copy before redirecting players. Separate essential communities across hosts if your recovery plan requires it; several processes on one machine still share that machine's availability.

Questions before you order

How many players can one server support?

No slot count is promised. Capacity depends on the exact game, software extensions, world and workload. Use a representative test before committing to a public limit.

Does ordering install my game server?

No. Choose and confirm the operating system, then install and maintain the game software yourself. Hardware delivery and a ready-to-join game service are separate milestones.
