01
Choose the release and installation option deliberately
Tungsto lists Windows Server without naming release, edition, language, or installation option. Confirm these before ordering. Standard, Datacenter, Server Core, and Desktop Experience differ in features, footprint, servicing, and licensing.
Check planned roles and applications against Microsoft's documentation for the exact release. Catalogue CPU and memory totals do not prove driver support, TPM availability, Secure Boot state, controller compatibility, or role suitability.
02
Bring and validate the required Microsoft licenses
A Windows Server license is not included unless the order says otherwise. You must hold valid rights for the version, edition, physical hardware, virtual machines, and access scenario. Core, access, connector, or virtualization licensing can apply.
Use current Microsoft Product Terms for your license program. Tungsto does not price licenses or decide whether a key, agreement, downgrade right, or workload qualifies. Retain purchase and activation records.
03
Separate the requested image from a delivered system
Selecting Windows Server records the intended OS. Accepted, Provisioning, or Queued does not confirm imaging, drivers, activation, or delivery. An order's SSH key is not automatically a Windows administrator credential; do not assume an initial password.
Confirm initial access, image source, checksum, boot mode, target disks, drivers, and partition layout. Reinstallation can erase data. Custom ISO and KVM actions are queued; they do not immediately mount media or open a console.
04
Harden and operate the server after delivery
After verifying access, activate Windows under the applicable license, update it, restrict administrative services, configure Windows Firewall, create named administrators, protect recovery material, and deploy only required roles. Test Microsoft security baselines against the workload.
You manage Active Directory, Remote Desktop, Hyper-V, applications, guest licensing, monitoring, backups, and restores. Tungsto does not provide managed Windows administration. One machine is one failure domain, without failover or application high availability.
05
Verify the completed installation before production use
Confirm version, edition, activation, drivers, storage, addresses, routes, time, logs, and updates. Record a trusted access path and take a recoverable backup before production use.
If image, edition, disks, or access differ, stop before activation or restoration. Preserve order and action references and report the mismatch without sharing passwords, product keys, or recovery secrets.

Questions before you order
Which Windows Server version and edition will be installed?
The catalogue does not specify one. Confirm the actual release, edition, language, installation option, media, drivers, and access method before ordering.
Is a Windows Server license included?
No license is included unless the order explicitly says so. Validate your Microsoft licensing rights for the hardware, edition, users, devices, and virtualization plan.
Will RDP or KVM be ready immediately?
Do not assume it. Initial credentials must be arranged, and a KVM request only returns a queued reference until usable console access is explicitly provided.
